Who are we
We are Nearly Normal.
At Nearly Normal we like to look at the world a little differently and are dedicated to making it a more joyful place to be.
Whenever you encounter us you can expect interactive, adventurous street theatre, that is accessible, enjoyable and memorable, combining visual comedy with splendidly absurd, walkabout street theatre and interactive performance. You can join us on an adventure or watch from a distance while we joyfully make fools of ourselves.
You might find us showing off in shopping centres, frolicking at festivals or buggering about on beaches but wherever you find us you can be sure you’ll leave the encounter with a tale to tell.
Originally founded by Ellie Jones and Stephen Crane for Southwark Playhouse, Nearly Normal now resides by the sea in Thanet.
